THE DANGERS OF FLOURIDE –by Michelle Graham

After all the research undertaken by several independent respected bodies, one of the questions we should be asking ourselves, Is the Fluoride we consume on a daily basis (through toothpaste and water) slowing killing us?

I started my website to help inform my customers the dangers of using everyday products that contain harmful chemicals and giving them an alternative product made by natural and organic ingredients.

One of my passions is looking into the potential harmful chemicals we give to our children every day, without knowing what harm we could be doing to them. During one of my research campaigns I came across the hidden dangers of using well known brands of toothpaste used by millions of us including children.

This is an overview of my findings and why I’m committed to using natural products. I hope these findings; make you ask yourselves the question. Are we poisoning our bodies to help increase the profits of large multinational companies?

Many of us trust the water we get from taps, many of us trust the toothpaste we buy everyday, as surely they wouldn’t give us anything that is harmful to us , would they? If you’re not convinced please read on:

Did you know Fluoride is scientifically classed as more toxic than lead?

The amount of fluoride in one tube of toothpaste is enough to kill most children. And how often do you go through a tube of toothpaste?

But we don’t swallow toothpaste! I hear you say so its fine, unfortunately your gums are one of the most absorbent things in your body. You will and do absorb toothpaste through your gums!

Ref: beinghealthynaturally.com.

Fluorides are medically categorized as a protoplasmic poison, which is why they are used to kill rodents! No matter how badly behaved our children are sometimes surely they don’t deserve this served to them every morning, do they?

In 1975 Dr John Yiamouyiannis published a preliminary survey which showed that people in fluoridated areas have a higher cancer death rate than those in non-fluoridated areas.

The Government looks set to increase the number of areas that fluorinated, funny that seen as France refused to fluorinate their water and you can definitely tell the difference, when we holiday in France I never ask for bottled water, the whole family can tell the difference.

The Environmental working group (EWG), a respected Washington-based research organisation has reported that they have asked the government to add fluoride in tap water to the list of substances known as or anticipated to cause cancer in humans

The new American research suggests that boys exposed to fluoride between the ages of five and 10 will suffer an increased rate of osteosarcoma – bone cancer – between the ages of 10 and 19.

Half of all fluoride ingested is stored around the body and mainly taken to the bones.

Our bodies were just not designed to get rid of toxic chemicals, so they just get left in our system gradually increasing in numbers.

So the story goes on: An fda (food and drugs association)researcher tried to blow the whistle on fluoride, strange he was demoted and removed from his position , however he has just won a massive lawsuit and received 10 years back pay (but still left ignored and unpublished)

Is Fluoridation a neat and cheap way to get rid of a hazardous waste?

Meanwhile the fluoride in tap water is hexaflourosilicic acid derived from an industrial process: namely the manufacture of phosphate fertiliser.

It comes from the pollution scrubber liquor from the factory chimneys of that industry and is simply relabelled a “recovered product” which ironically is illegal to dump at sea!!

This toxic waste will probably contain small amounts of other impurities such as lead, mercury, beryllium and arsenic.

But how did it pass a safety test did you just ask, well IT DIDN’T the national pure water association has repeatedly challenged the government to produce the safety testing data for this product.

The government hasn’t because the data doesn’t exist!

It begs us to ask the question is this in breach of both the European Convention on Human Rights and Medicine and standard medical practice, if so how can anyone in the medical profession be in favour of fluoridation?

Do you have fluoride in your tap water?

Click onto www.uk-water-filters.co.uk, they list the areas of the country that yes have fluoride or in some case

Artificial fluoride, the same chemical that is usually an aluminium manufacturing or agricultural waste product.

Just to let you know, when fluoride is handled at factories, the people have to wear class 2 yellow hazmat suits because it’s so dangerous!!

1cc yes one cc, of the very exact fluoride added to tap water, is enough to kill you.

Finally Hitler is believed to have used fluorine poisoning on concentration camp victims.

Its effect on humans is to suppress responses in the part of the brain that makes us resist domination – the same effect as Prozac – is that why the main ingredient in Prozac , flouxetine is yes you guessed it sodium fluoride!

According to Charles Eliot Perkins, a research chemist, sent to Germany after WW2, repeated doses of fluoride may have been used to make people submissive to the government.

Fluoride affects a part of the brain that in time will slowly poison and narcotise it, which in turn will make you submissive to those who wish to govern you!

All these findings made me sit up and just on this one topic inspired me to take more care to what I give to my family.

I may not be able to stop the Government putting Fluoride in the water, but I can stop giving my family toothpaste large companies make with cheap chemicals instead of using natural ingredients.

My solution is to use Natural toothpaste; hopefully I have given you the information to think twice.

Thank you for listening, Please feel free to comment on this article.

How perfumes and scented creams could make your unborn baby infertile

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 10:12 AM on 01st September 2008

Risk: Perfume and scented creams could cause infertility or cancer in unborn boys

Pregnant women are being urged to stop using perfumes or scented creams after research suggested the products could cause unborn boys to suffer infertility or cancer in later life.

It found the reproductive systems of male foetuses were damaged at as early as eight weeks’ gestation by chemicals found in cosmetics.

Professor Richard Sharpe, who led the research at the Medical Research Council’s Human Sciences Unit, said that he had discovered a ‘time window’ of eight to 12 weeks’ gestation, when certain hormones in the foetus are activated and the male reproductive system comes into being.

At that time, future problems of male fertility, including undescended testicles, low sperm count and the risk of testicular cancer could be determined if these hormones, such as testosterone, do not work properly, he added.

The experiments on rats confirmed that if the hormones were blocked, the animals suffered fertility problems.

Professor Sharpe said he had discovered the male programming window occurred far earlier in foetal development than was previously thought, before the reproductive organs fully develop, and when androgens in the foetus are most active.

‘If the male foetus does not receive enough androgens it may not realise its full reproductive potential,’ he added.

‘Women could stop using body creams and perfumes.

‘Although we do not have conclusive evidence they do harm, there are components about which there are question marks; for example, it could be certain combinations of chemicals.’

Professor Sharpe is due to unveil his findings this week at the Simpson Symposium in Edinburgh, a gathering of fertility experts organised by Edinburgh University.

Another Week has passed and still no sun!

July 19th, 2008 by michelle

Well its the end of another week and still the sun refuses to shine , The Open at Southport has definately followed in Wimbledon’s footsteps rainy and windy!!

With the men jetting off to the golf this week, Beauty OK introduced a new Mens range especially for them.

I have a method in my madness - whilst you are shopping for yourself now, you can soften up the man in your life by treating him to organics luxuries just for him!

That way should you need to use his card (because you just cant remember where you placed yours !) at least you can soften the blow by buying him a gift or two.

The range is an organic range from Lavera and it really is reasonably priced, but still containing high quality ingredients.

I think its really nice to see so many men taking care of themselves whether it be for themselves or because they want to stay looking good for us women, I think we should definately encourage them!

Anyway enough about the golf and men on a funnier note my children have been really cranky this week, the end of term tiredness I think, however I have bribed them every night this week with a bubble bath , I gave my daughter the “I love you” bubble bath by California Baby , just before I went on a night out this week (she hates it when i go out without her!!)  and every night both children have loved blowing bubbles with the wands ( I have too!)  Everthing has revolved around this special bubble bath from “eat your dinner, or you wont have a bubble bath” to “stop whingeing or you wont have a bubble bath” it really has worked!.

Well with Summer holidays in mind, we have also added sun tan lotions to our store, again high quality Lavera products but no more expensive than your regular brands, only these come with the added bonus of , we know they are safer than some regular brands and kinder to our families skin.

Hope everyone has a good weeknd and forthcoming week ,

until next week

Julia Roberts speaks out on “oprah winfrey show”

July 3rd, 2008 by michelle

Going Green from the Oprah Winfrey TV Show, April, 2008

Transcript of video:

How much do you know about the beauty products you use every day? Maybe not as much as you think. According to Consumer Reports, only 11 percent of ingredients in personal care products are tested for safety in the United States. The Environmental Working Group says one in 13 women are exposed to known or probable carcinogens in these products every day.

Green expert Sophie Uliano says these types of chemicals in products like shampoo and body lotions could be harming our environment because they are washed down the drain into our water supplies. Our bodies are also absorbing these chemicals. “Our body’s a living organ, and it absorbs almost everything you put on it, so we really need to take care of that,” she says.

So how do you know which products contain chemicals or additives? Sophie says it comes down to simply reading labels and knowing what to look for.

It’s a process she taught friend and actress Julia Roberts. “I got rid of half my stuff,” Julia says. “When you look at the ingredients and you can’t pronounce them? That’s a really strong indication that you don’t want to put it on your lips.”

When browsing the beauty aisle, Sophie says to look for “paraben-free” products, like those pictured above. “Parabens are preservatives, and they can be hormone disrupters,” she says. “Parabens are in everything. They’re in shampoos, body lotions, face creams. … There’s conflicting advice, but I stay away.”

Sophie says brands like Method are a good option, but if you’re not sure whether a product is paraben-free, just check the ingredients list. Parabens are always present if “ethyl parabens” or “methyl parabens” are listed.
Another thing Sophie recommends avoiding is anything that lists fragrance or parfum. “Fragrance is a term that is ubiquitously used to mask a number of chemicals—dodgy chemicals—that may be in your products,” Sophie says.

A group of these chemicals called phthalates are used to make plastic soft and gives lotion its creamy texture, Sophie says. “Phthalates are also hormone disrupters and are pretty toxic,” she says. “So, again, you want to try and avoid them.”

Not sure which brands are fragrance-free? Try Aubrey Organics or Burt’s Bees. “Two fantastic companies,” Sophie says. “Can’t go wrong with either of them.”

Your antiperspirant may be keeping you dry, but you might start sweating a little more when you find out about the chemicals that could be in it. Sophie says trace amounts of aluminum are found in antiperspirant only—not necessarily all deodorants. “I stay away from it because it’s a neurotoxin,” she says.

Sophie’s favorite alternative is called Herbal Magic. Julia, however, uses nothing. “I don’t, no,” she says. “But sometimes midday at work I freshen up.”

“You always smell so good,” Oprah says. “What do you do?”

“I can’t give away all my movie secrets,” Julia jokes. Read the label before you reapply your face cream. If it has germall as an ingredient, you might want to think twice. “This releases toxic gases from the formaldehyde,” Sophie says.

Looking for a new face-friendly moisturizer? Sophie recommends trying brands like Dr. Hauschka and Suki.
The final ingredient to watch for is another hormone disrupter called sodium lauryl sulfate, or SLS. “[It's] a foaming ingredient which is used in toothpastes and in shampoos, and it’s also used in antifreeze and in car shops,” Sophie says. “[It's] a good idea to try and stay away from that.”

If you can’t remember what you should be looking out for while choosing a product, Sophie has an easy shopping strategy for you to use. “If you see a long list of ingredients with lots of numbers and names that you can’t pronounce, you probably need to be looking for something else.”
