Have a look a our 10 fantastic ways to turn Olive Oil into part of your Beauty Regime!  Lets go Italian and look beautiful!

Olive Oil comes from the Mediterranean region, but is widely available around the world now, many of us have discovered the taste and health benefits of this juicy little olive. Many uses include soap making, it has a mild fragrance and is known for moisturizing all skin types.

Beauty OK have sourced some ways on how you introduce this juicy little number into your beauty regime.

Where possible, choose organic…the less pesticides on your skin, the better.

If you were an Italian, your grandmother,  would of handed down these fantastic recipes to help you maintain the best skin, hair and nails.

(Before you begin,  if you have even the slightest allergies. It is your responsibility to test products on small areas of skin just in case an allergy exists.)

  1. Nails -Place Organic (if possible) Olive Oil in a cup, and soak you nails for around 10-15minutes, this will ensure cuticle as soft as a babies and really strong nails. (just sit back relax and enjoy!)

Hands – For your hands, this is a really good way to keep those hands looking youthful.  Pour Olive Oil into the palm of your hands (be generous) and make sure all your hands are covered up to your wrist.  Put on some cotton gloves and where at all possible get into bed and leave on until the morning!  In the morning use a chemical free soap to wash with (this will ensure your hands will stay silky soft) and this is an amazing way to keep your hand soft all day long and on a budget!

Night Cream – You will love this one!  Mix 1/2 cup of olive oil, a 1/4 cup of vinegar and a 1/4 cup of water and apply to the skin.  This is a great way to help to lighten any dark patches on your face, it will kill any bacteria present and makes your skin wonderfully smooth and amazingly clear.

Lips - A great beauty tip for chapped lips, apply as and when required.

Shiny Hair – for fantastic looking  hair, and to help rid that unwanted, flaky scalp, apply olive oil and a drop of tea tree oil all over. Massage this wonderful recipe into your scalp for 3-4 minutes. If possible wear a shower cap for at least 20 minutes and then shampoo the oil out. Ideally this should be done once a week and you will be the envy of all your friends

Italian Facial Scrub – Mix  a little olive oil with a teaspoon of sugar – apply to your face and scrub gently, wash away with warm water or using a lovely clean & warm facecloth. Your face will    glow with olive oil goodness.

Fantastic Feet - After a long day on your feet what better way to end it than with a foot massage. -   Get your pumice stones and scrub away all that nasty flakey skin and make your feet look good for summer shoes!

A Mediteranean Bath – For silky skin before that special evening – add a few drops of olive oil and your favorite essential oil to your pre-date bath
