Tips for good mineral foundation application: moisturise your face before hand as mineral powder adheres to your skin and if your face is too dry it won’t blend in but will just sit on top looking powdery (not really a good look).
Don’t over burden the brush as it will lead to your makeup looking caked on – a little definitely goes a long way with mineral makeup. Tap the excess minerals off the brush, and swirl the brush on the back of your hand to push the powder into the brush, which will help it go on evenly. This applies to shimmer powders, glitters, blushes and bronzers as well – don’t use too much!
You don’t dust mineral foundation on but rather buff it on to help it adhere to the oil in your skin. The more you buff, the heavier the coverage will be - it takes practice to get the look you’re happy with. Blend, blend and blend some more with a big fluffy powder brush, we can’t emphasise how important this is! The foundation will look a little powdery when you first apply it, but as it adheres to your skin and settles in, it will look more natural.
